The mission of the New York City Fire Museum is to collect, preserve and present the history and cultural heritage of the fire service of New York and to provide fire prevention and safety education to the public. During special events, guests are welcome to visit two exhibition floors where they’ll experience one of the nation’s most prominent collections of fire related art, artifacts, gear, and apparatus from the late 18th century to the present.
