Founded in 1804, the New-York Historical Society is one of America’s preeminent cultural institutions and the first museums in New York City. Located across Central Park in the heart of the vibrant Upper West Side, New-York Historical is a beautiful landmarked building that accommodates a wide variety of events. Multiple event spaces can accommodate 30 to 420 for seated events and up to 500 for receptions or rent the whole museum for 1200. Our Auditorium seats 409. We are excited to welcome guests both local to New York and from around the globe! New-York Historical Society is one of the only museums that allows daytime events and museum closures and all proceeds from our rental program support the museum and its programs.
